Well, even though I'm a Red Sox fan - therefore I HATE THE YANKEES - I have to admit....the best team won!
In the end, the Phillies pitching wasn't good enough....with the sole exception of Cliff Lee. And there were too many silent bats in the Philadelphia batting order....with the exception of Chase Utley.
Pedro is STILL headed to the Hall of Fame....but he's too old....his heater was hitting high 80's....SAD!! Ryan Howard was Missing-In-Action!!
Jeter, Pettitte, Damon, Rodriguez, Matsui and Rivera ALL SHOWED UP!!!!
Hideki Matsui REALLY showed up!! Matsui cranked a double, a homer and SIX RBI's to win the World Series MVP!!!
Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera enjoy the fruit of their labour....
